Meet the Open London Innovators
16:30 - 19:30 | 27 February 2024 | LSBU, Croydon Campus
BIG has partnered with Newable and LSBU to host an exclusive first ‘ground floor’ view of the innovators who have been successful in securing investment funding to advance the development of their ideas through the Open London Project.
Open London brings together London residents, large organisations, and innovative London SMEs to create and implement solutions to some of the most pressing socio-economic, health and environmental challenges facing the capital. The project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered by Newable on behalf of the Greater London Authority.
Over the next year, the programme will support up to 90 London SMEs or social enterprises to scale their innovations to address issues and challenges across six thematic areas: Transport, Environment, Health/Wellbeing, Social Care, Housing and Energy.
Join us to meet the first look at the first cohort of innovative companies successfully emerging from the project. These companies are looking to develop innovative, cutting-edge solutions across these challenge areas and are now at the stage of having secured investment funding to take forward the implementation of their ideas via the process of forming collaborative partnerships with interested stakeholders and investors to progress their solutions towards scale and launch.
This is a ‘ground floor’ opportunity for South London stakeholders from across local government, education, research, health, and business to gather together and listen to these new, exciting and most certainly passionate innovators set out their proposals, plans and ambitions for 2024 and beyond – and, who knows, you might just encounter the next game-changing idea for your South London business, organisation or institution and meet the innovative entrepreneur who you can help realise it!
