Sarah McInnes
Head of Sustainability, South West London Integrated Care Board
Sarah’s role involves supporting the NHS in SWL to decarbonise and adapt to the impacts of a warming planet. They do this through co-ordinated delivery of our green plan, working with all providers including acute trusts, community, mental health and primary care in SWL. They also work closely with councils, voluntary sector, GLA and other bodies to share best practice, collaborate and work together to support delivery. Sarah’s background is in Programme and Project Management within the NHS, she’s led and co-ordinated the delivery of many large and complex projects during my career. She started almost 20 years ago in service improvement and was fortunate to work on some inspiring projects which really improved services for patients by putting in place proactive care or removing waiting lists so patients could be seen more quickly. This early passion to see services transformed and improved has remained with her. When the opportunity arose to work on Sustainability, she enthusiastically took the plunge as this is a subject matter that is deer to her heart and this role allows her to be part of improving the NHS and supporting it to deliver for patients, public and the planet.
