Working in social mobility and entrepreneurial leadership means Ceri engages at the forefront of policy ensuring higher education remains successful and innovative.
Work has included supporting OFFA/HEFCE National Strategy for Access and Student Success, building widening participation in the NHS, enhancing the Entrepreneurial Leaders programme and providing expert advice to the Medical Schools Council as part of the Minister for Health’s supported Selecting for Excellence programme.
She has also provided practical support to individual universities such as developing the University of Oxford’s outreach evaluation framework and analysing the University of Warwick’s position within lifelong learning by reviewing market position and the national policy context.
With over 20 years experience working in higher education and local government Ceri has a strong record in strategy, project development and relationship management. Previously she was Head of Access and Community Engagement at the University of Leeds where she led a team of over 30 and a budget in excess of £3m to support fair access, recruitment, community engagement and local and national policy development. She has also held roles with Government Office, Yorkshire and Humber Universities Association and Leeds City Council to build partnership between public bodies to support social and economic initiatives.
