David is a Founding Member of the Crystalisr Co-operative Society, a marketplace for SMEs to connect with anchor organisations in the supply chain in South London. David has been a community activist since 2010, specialising in placemaking and affordable workspace and he runs two coworking spaces in Kingston serving 150 people in 50 businesses. Before that David worked for 16 years in international development in higher education, working mainly in Eastern Europe. David has a PhD from Kingston University (2004), an MA from the University of London Institute of Education (1993) and a BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics (1990).
