Gen AI Accelerator Series: Exploring and Shaping the Future of Business and Innovation in Kingston

17:00 | 9 January 2026 | Kingston University

Welcome to the AI Accelerator Programme Event Graphic

Businesses are invited to participate in a fully funded AI accelerator programme.

If you’re a marketing, innovation, customer engagement, customer experience, communication or content creation leader in one of Kingston’s large organisations, this is not another abstract discussion about Gen AI.

This is a hands-on, collaborative journey designed to help you and your peers work through real challenges and shape a shared vision for the future of business and innovation in our Borough.

The Gen AI Accelerator Series brings together business, academia, and local government for a two-part, in-person programme.

1. Design Thinking Workshop

Share real stories from your organisation —how you’re currently managing innovation-related workflows and/or how you’re using Generative AI already.

Together, we’ll unpack what’s working, where the pain points are, and what realistic opportunities Gen AI offers right now.

2. Foresight Workshop

Two weeks later, we’ll return to explore how your organisation — and Kingston’s business ecosystem as a whole — can collaborate to adopt AI responsibly, develop new capabilities, and co-create a roadmap for future innovation.

Who should join:

Senior managers, innovators, and decision-makers from major Kingston employers across the public, private, creative, and community sectors.

Why it’s different:

  • Starts from your real workflows, not theory.
  • Helps you manage expectations about Gen AI’s real capabilities.
  • Builds towards practical action plans and a collaborative future for Kingston’s innovation ecosystem (including the new MSc AI for Business and Innovation at Kingston Business School).

Two in-person sessions (14 & 28 January) | Kingston University | 3 hours each (with refreshments)

Developed and facilitated by Dr Evy Sakellariou, Associate Professor and Gen AI Innovation Lead at the Foresight and Creativity Kingston Business School, and hosted in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the Kingston Chamber of Commerce

Applications close 9 January 2026, but may close sooner if capacity is reached.
