Developing Future Talent: Employer Masterclass – Attraction & Recruitment of Young People
13:00 - 14:00 | 11 September 2026 | Online
Join Youth Employment UK and South London Partnership for practical advice on attracting and recruiting young talent!
Struggling to fill entry-level roles, or finding the same narrow pool of candidates every time you advertise? This free session, brought to you by the South London Partnership and Youth Employment UK, shows employers how to open the door to a wider, often-overlooked talent pool: young people.
You’ll learn why so many young candidates fall away before they even reach interview, and what simple, low-cost changes to your planning, promotion and recruitment can fix that — without lowering your standards or adding to your workload. It’s about recruiting for potential, not polish, while still meeting the needs of your business.
By the end of this session, you’ll be able to:
• See recruitment through the eyes of a young jobseeker
• Use workforce planning to build a stronger youth talent pipeline
• Sharpen your attraction and outreach to reach candidates you’re currently missing
• Spot and fix the parts of your job descriptions and processes that unintentionally screen good people out
