Unlocking Opportunities with Responsible Business

15:30 - 20:00 | 22 October 2024 | London South Bank University, SE1 0AA

Unlocking Opportunities Event

Join us for a vibrant in-person networking evening, jointly hosted by Minority Business Matters and London South Bank University (LSBU), a partner in the Inclusive Supply Chain project.

The event will welcome you to connect with procurement specialists from the private and public sectors, as well as academics from London’s top universities, to discuss the challenges of becoming ‘buyer ready’.

You’ll learn how adopting responsible business practices can enhance your credibility with corporate and public sector buyers, and how this can open doors to new opportunities.

About the event

You will hear about the new Procurement Act and understand the implications of its introduction on suppliers of all sizes.

A panel of experts will follow with a focus on responsible business and sustainability practices. We invite you to contribute to this conversation from your corporate or public sector procurement standpoint and help shape the discussion in working groups with diverse supplies, leading on from the panel.

“Events like this help to demystify some of the procurement processes employed by larger organisations to mitigate risks and achieve ROI, and break down entry barriers for small businesses” – Nadia Forde, Delivery Lead for Minority Business Matters

Key areas of focus include:

  • Learn about the new Procurement Act
  • Discover ways to enhance your competitiveness
  • Start creating a strategy for integrating responsible business
  • Expand your network with purpose and unlock new opportunities
